For all the Final Fantasy fans, the long-awaited release of the upcoming flagship game is right around the corner. The developers at Square Enix have recently revealed some of the details about the playthrough time and the game mechanics that will provide a thrilling experience for anyone who plays it.

According to the interview with the director Hiroshi Takai and producer Naoki Yoshida, Final Fantasy XVI is a story-focused game that will provide an intense emotional roller coaster ride. The whole journey should take about 35 hours to finish the main story. If you decide to indulge in the side content, you can count on an extra 35 hours, bringing the total to 70 hours of playtime. 

The game also features a unique world ranking system and a New Game+ Mode dubbed "Final Fantasy Mode." This will allow players to tweak the difficulty and jump right back into the action right after they finish the game. Compared to the predecessor, Final Fantasy XV, this installment will be longer, as its estimated completion time varies from 28 to 53 hours.
