The game is based on the iconic character from J.R.R. Tolkien's fantasy series and will be released on all platforms in 2023.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum tells the story of the creature Gollum, a former Hobbit corrupted by the One Ring. The game follows Gollum as he navigates a path between good and evil while struggling to find a place in Middle-earth. Players will explore locations familiar to fans of the series and encounter characters such as Gandalf and Aragorn.
The game also features an original narrative that allows players to make choices that shape Gollum’s destiny. Daedalic Entertainment has also revealed that the game will feature a “Narrative Action” system which will allow players to use stealth or combat to solve puzzles and progress through the game.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum has been in development for over three years, with a small team at Daedalic Entertainment working on the project. They have worked closely with author Christian Dunn and the Tolkien Estate to ensure they stay true to the source material.
