Instagram Will Allow Adding More Than One Link to the Users Bio

Instagram is testing a new update to help business page owners provide more information about their company. The new feature will allow more than one link to be added to a bio.

That is a helpful update, as it is not uncommon for business owners to have an official website, a landing page on social networks, and several other resources. But because of restrictions, the user could only add one link to the bio.

Selected authors have been testing the feature since last October. But so far, there are no details from Meta about when the update will be available to all Instagram account users.

Meta has provided a screenshot of the update page so users can see what it will look like. As before in the bio, there is one main link, but on the right is another inscription, "and 2 more". The user can see what other links the author has added to his profile by clicking on the main one. Instagram suggests adding a link to your Facebook account and a link to your Facebook group if you have one. Besides, the author can add links to any other sources they deem necessary. But so far, Meta has not specified the maximum number of links you can add to your Instagram profile.

With the ability to add multichannel links, Meta also seems to be changing its strategy. Users used to be able to do this with tools like Linktree. Instagram itself advertised Linktree earlier.

Meta said they are developing their multi-channel instrument, but they did not give any more details about the instrument's release date or functions.

Meta seems to want to do the work of business page owners as well as possible. We believe these will be handy updates. We also look forward to getting more details from Instagram to share with you as soon as possible.
