With the rollout of its newest Android 15-based update named One UI 7, Samsung is set to broaden the reach of the Good Lock application. This app provides an array of customization tools for Galaxy smartphone users, enabling them to enhance their devices with various modules and features that go beyond what is pre-installed. Currently available in more than 40 countries, there are indications that Samsung aims to make this app accessible globally while enriching its diverse functionalities.
Recent information shared on social media platforms, particularly in the One UI subreddit, suggests that the availability of the Good Lock app will be extended to all countries with the forthcoming One UI 7 update. According to a statement from a moderator on Samsung’s support forum, this expansion is on the horizon. Although it is exclusively found in the Galaxy Store at present, Samsung is reportedly planning to offer it through the Google Play Store as well.
Internal testing is reportedly underway, and the launch could coincide with the stable release of One UI 7.
The enhancements to the Good Lock app are part of the upcoming One UI 7 features. The goal is to streamline the user interface, addressing the app's growing complexity as new functionalities have been added over time. These improvements include:
Furthermore, it is anticipated that Good Lock will support a total of 23 functions. Users will gain access to a routine gallery where they can add and share routines with fellow Galaxy users. The ability to independently change wallpapers for both home and lock screens will also be available, with app icons, titles, and status bars adjusting their colors based on the selected wallpaper.
