During its lengthy Early Access period, players were limited to experiencing the opening act. The content of that phase, though different from the final version, contained imaginative ideas that ultimately did not make it into the complete game.

A dedicated modder has reassembled this abandoned narrative in a project that emphasizes enhanced companion interactions. The effort restores a wide range of additional dialogue lines for several key characters, including Lae’zel, Gale, Astarion, and Shadowheart. While some characters with different initial voice contributions have received only partial audio restoration, the project still makes a notable impact.
