Afeela Electric Evolution: Sony and Honda's Innovative Leap in EV Production

Sony and Honda have initiated production of the first models in the Afeela electric vehicle line. Initially introduced without fanfare alongside PlayStation topics at a few years back during a major CES event, the concept later evolved into a joint venture under the label Sony-Honda Mobility. The electric vehicles in this series have come to be known as Afeela.

Recently, a video confirmed that the very first production version of the Afeela 1 emerged from the assembly line in Ohio. This milestone indicates that the brand is advancing steadily toward delivering these models in the near future.

According to a senior executive responsible for product quality, the integrated systems and features within each vehicle will be meticulously fine-tuned to meet the high standards envisioned by the Afeela brand. The team has pledged to combine cutting-edge technology with exceptional dependability, fulfilling their commitment to customers.

The Afeela 1 is set to offer around 400 horsepower, a 91kWh battery, and a 150kW charging capacity. Despite its seemingly standard specifications, the vehicle incorporates a wealth of advanced components, including:

• 12 ultrasonic sensors
• Additional high-tech features

Moreover, the vehicle will feature integrated functionality that enables Remote Play for PlayStation 5 users. Although the precise shipping schedule for the Afeela 1 has not been announced, the progress suggests that availability is approaching soon.
