Bandai Namco's popular drumming series is set to expand its reach with the release of Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival on new platforms. Originally launched two years ago for the Nintendo Switch, this game offers players the chance to perform on traditional Japanese taiko drums while enjoying a selection of modern tracks.
Now, the highly anticipated title will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S/X, with exciting announcements from Bandai Namco about new features. The accompanying official drums, developed by Hori, will enhance the experience. This version distinguishes itself from the Switch release by introducing support for 120 frames per second and exclusive collaborative songs and mini characters for these new platforms, along with additional downloadable content, which includes anime tracks.
The base game includes a repertoire of 76 songs, while a special Setlist Edition offers even more musical selections. Players who opt for the Taiko Music Pass can unlock access to over 700 songs designed for drumming enjoyment. A demo version is currently available, although it's worth noting that the full experience is best enjoyed with the drums. By pre-ordering the game, players will also receive five additional tracks.
Mark your calendars for November 7, the official launch date for the new versions. This holiday season presents the perfect opportunity to engage in lively drumming sessions with family and friends through Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival.
